Telegram in code 77 (2) received.  Unfortunately Chancellor is tarrying for a few days in Munich; I immediately asked Foreign Minister (3) to arrange an audience with Chancellor for an urgent message from the Holy Father.

This evening at 20.00 Foreign minister informs me audience will be granted for tomorrow afternoon at Berchtesgaden where I shall arrive by special aeroplane.

I shall telegraph as soon as I am back.
